2023 Day of Giving Challenges

Thanks to the generosity of generous alumni and friends, you can boost the impact of your gift by participating in various challenges throughout the day! All areas of campus are encouraged to get in on the fun to support their favorite department, program, club, or fund! Follow along on the W&J Alumni Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts on Feb. 20 as we unlock challenges in real time!

Day-Long Challenges

500 Presidents for $50K

Thanks to the generosity of Dr. Frank Rumore '63 and Dr. Deborah Preston, this day-long challenge allows for up to $50,000 in bonus funds to be matched to support the W&J Fund when we reach 500 donors. This challenge is based solely on participation, so even gifts of $5 made on Feb. 20 will get us closer to securing $50,000 in additional, unrestricted funds for the College!

GOLD GIVES

Here's a challenge for all Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD)! Your gift can make an even greater impact than usual thanks to the generosity of Dr. Walter Cooper '50 who has issued W&J a $10,000 young alumni challenge match. Gifts of $5 or more made by members of the classes 2012 - 2022 will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000. That's right, when you make a gift of $10 to your favorite athletic team, academic department, club, or organization, they get $20 in return!

First-Time Fifty

Are you a first-time donor to W&J? Then this challenge is for you! The 50th person to make a first-time gift (to any area of campus) on W&J Day of Giving will unlock a $7,500 matching gift for the W&J Fund thanks to the generosity of W&J's Alumni Executive Council (AEC).
